LIFE DOESN'T GET ANY SWEETER THAN THIS!

My name is Brenda Joy Rasmussen. I am the oldest of 5 children. I grew up in the small town of Parowan Utah. I have been born into a wonderful family of 3 sisters and one brother. We have been raised by good parents who have given us a life time of love. They have instilled in us a great love for the plain and simple, and most precious things in life, God and family. I now live in the small town of Enoch, Utah, not to far from where I grew up, with my husband Robert. Here in Enoch we have raised 5 beautiful children. We are the grandparents of 13 sweet grandchildren!

Gingerbread Joy!

Come with me to the gingerbread house
where the cat does a dance with a bow-legged mouse,
Who sings jingle bells on the tip of his toes
with a red candy cane on his nose.
Breakfast is cookies with candy on top,
There's an elf pouring milk with a hip and a hop.
Now wouldn't you love to grow up in a house,
In a wonderful gingerbread house.
Santa is laughing and playing with toys
and he gives them away to the girls and the boys,
He's jolly and happy you came to his house,
To his wonderful gingerbread house!
If I could have my way,

It would be Christmas every day.
Every girl, every boy, every bow legged mouse
should grow up in a gingerbread house!

I just stopped in because I'm looking for a song and the lyrics to it, and you are the only website that came up from "grow up in a gingerbread house". And now that I see your website, how beautiful everything is and hear "Dream" playing, it's as if I feel the Christmas spirit within me, which is perfect, considering I was looking for that song to show my friend that I'm not devoid of joy, especially since I want to tag that song at the end of a cynical comment to her Facebook status.

Anyway, thanks. Your wonderful blog at least momentarily restores my faith in humanity. I hope you will leave it up for me to find again, as such things are rare, even for me who is constantly both in search of them and protective from so much else. Perhaps I will spend more time perusing it to see if I can learn to be happy more often, focusing on what is bright and cheery, rather than trying to solve all the world's problems.
