LIFE DOESN'T GET ANY SWEETER THAN THIS!

My name is Brenda Joy Rasmussen. I am the oldest of 5 children. I grew up in the small town of Parowan Utah. I have been born into a wonderful family of 3 sisters and one brother. We have been raised by good parents who have given us a life time of love. They have instilled in us a great love for the plain and simple, and most precious things in life, God and family. I now live in the small town of Enoch, Utah, not to far from where I grew up, with my husband Robert. Here in Enoch we have raised 5 beautiful children. We are the grandparents of 13 sweet grandchildren!

It's Our Town..We love it anyway!

There's no place like home! I love the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. When it rains, which isn't very often, we get the delightful smell of wet sagebrush and the sound of croaking toads! We also get beautiful double rainbows...and double blessings!

Small town life is great! The celebrations are fun, The people are friendly... everyone gets a wave or a farmers nod. I love the quiet, simple life. What a great place this has been to raise our family. Our kids know what it's like to swim in a pond on a hot summer day, or to ride a horse out through a beautiful green alfalfa Field. They know the fun of catching toads, and they know of the hard work it takes to move sprinkler pipe in a field of muddy oats. They also know how it feels to be loved by family, and friends. It's wonderful when you feel comfortable enough to call all the grown ups in the neighborhood Auntie or Uncle. I love the years growing up here...I love my kids...I miss them dearly. It's So hard to watch them grow up and leave this peaceful place.
Bob and I recently went for a little hike about 4 miles north of where we live. we discovered some wonderful Freemont Indian petroglyphs. Oh if these rocks could only talk what stories they could tell and what great lessons we could learn.
No, this is NOT the Parowan Gap but is still pretty amazing!

I feel so blessed to live in such a wonderful place. God has been so good to us here!
I love my town!

OUR TOWN
James Taylor

Long ago, but not so very long ago
The world was different, oh, yes, it was
You settled down and you built a town and made it there
And you watched it grow, it was your town

Time goes by and time brings changes
You've changed too
Nothing comes that you can't handle
So on you go
You never see it coming
When the world caves in on you
On your town, nothing you can do

Main Street isn't Main Street anymore
Lights don't shine as brightly as they shone before
Tell the truth, lights don't shine at all
In our town.

The sun comes up each morning just like it's always done
Get up, go to work and start the day
You open up for business
That's never gonna come
As the world rolls by a million miles away

Main Street isn't Main Street anymore
No one seems to need us like they did before
It's hard to find a reason left to stay
But it's our town
Love it anyway
Come what may
It's our town
