LIFE DOESN'T GET ANY SWEETER THAN THIS!

My name is Brenda Joy Rasmussen. I am the oldest of 5 children. I grew up in the small town of Parowan Utah. I have been born into a wonderful family of 3 sisters and one brother. We have been raised by good parents who have given us a life time of love. They have instilled in us a great love for the plain and simple, and most precious things in life, God and family. I now live in the small town of Enoch, Utah, not to far from where I grew up, with my husband Robert. Here in Enoch we have raised 5 beautiful children. We are the grandparents of 13 sweet grandchildren!

Fall My Favorite Time of Year?

Fall is such a beautiful season.
I love a drive in the mountains to see the
colors and the snow capped mountains.

I Love my walks down the lane, the fresh crisp
air fills my senses, the sheep feeding in the fields
and the golden hues cast across the valley warm
and excite my being. I love walking in the brisk fall air!
The earth is crowned with her glorious beauty...
I love to take it all in.
Pine nut picking in the west hills is one of my
favorite fall sports. A quiet hush, the wind gently
whistling through the pinions and
the smell of pine are thick in the air.

The harvest has been good this year! Bobs garden
produced plenty for the winter months ahead.
We will be enjoying the fruits of his labors.
Onions, potatoes, squash, apple pie filling,
carrots, beets and so much more!

Fall is a time for making all my favorite
comfort goodies, and smelling the
 spicy aroma of gingerbread...
 And making haunted Halloween
gingerbread houses with my loves...
It's a time for being spooky
together and stealing sweet waxy kisses!
Fall is a time for spooky suppers...

Jumping in piles of leaves clear up to your neck...
And squeezing the lusciousness out of
the red cheeked apple, drinking it cold right
off the press, and gathering with
loved ones to celebrate the harvest!

Fall is a time to count your many blessings
and to remember whats truly essential and eternal.
It's a good time to renew covenants and to
spend time in the temple with the love of your life:)
 In Fall season...
Harry Potter Butter Beer is all the rage!
It tastes like Fall in your mouth!
Here's the recipe:
2 Tbsp Butter
1/2 Cup Caramel/Butterscotch ice cream topping
1/4 tsp Apple Pie Spice
Combine in sauce pan and stir until melted.

3 Cups Frozen A&W Cream Soda
1 Cup Fresh Apple Cider
2 Tbsp Cream or creamer
Combine in blender with the above
ingredients (Butter and Topping) until smooth

Butter Beer Topping (Foam)
1 Jar Marshmallow Cream
1/4 Cup cream or creamer
blend together until foamy

Fall is a fun time to play your favorite sport...
to pick you're favorite pumpkin and carve it
a spooky face!  It's a time for
sweet candy corn smiles!
Fall is eating your favorite cereal,
snuggling in a warm blanket and reading
your favorite books with hot Cocoa
and marshmallows in hand...and its your
favorite fall aromatics like caramel apple,
cinnamon spice, candy corn, black licorice
 and sarsaparilla awakening your senses.
Fall is watching the sheep herders bring their
sheep down off the mountain in preparation
for the winter ahead.  Watching the sheep parade
is one of my peaceful pastimes.
It takes me back to simpler days.
Fall is the beauty of the first snow,
 frost on the pumpkin and
sometimes even a rainbow surprise!
Fall is the warmth of New York Smiles...
It is the warmth of Georgia Smiles...
It is the warmth of Salt Lake smiles...
It is the warmth of Herriman Smiles...

It is the warmth of Cedar Smiles!

Fall is a wonderful time of year to gather in
from all the business to the warmth of hearth,
to the warmth of home and family to
be close to the ones you love.
Fall?! It's my favorite time of year!
