LIFE DOESN'T GET ANY SWEETER THAN THIS!

My name is Brenda Joy Rasmussen. I am the oldest of 5 children. I grew up in the small town of Parowan Utah. I have been born into a wonderful family of 3 sisters and one brother. We have been raised by good parents who have given us a life time of love. They have instilled in us a great love for the plain and simple, and most precious things in life, God and family. I now live in the small town of Enoch, Utah, not to far from where I grew up, with my husband Robert. Here in Enoch we have raised 5 beautiful children. We are the grandparents of 13 sweet grandchildren!

Oh What Do You Do In The SUmmer TIme?

Oh What Do I Do In The Summer time?
I absolutely love spending it with the Loves of my Life!
We had such a wonderful summer together and
made some of the most blessed memories ever.
I love these people with each beat of my heart:)
The first bus arrived from Georgia and we wore
ourselves out with play.  First stop,
the Enoch animal shelter!  The kids love this place!
We took a field trip down in the Enoch fields
climbed a few hills and looked for lizzards.
Even chased a prarie dog or two.
We did a little barrel rolling and ate a few
fresh peas from grandpa's garden!  Yummy!
Melissa Brought her Roller Blades and took
a few spins around the church parking lot
while Bella learned how to ride a bike!
She did awesome:) Dylan Became the manager
of his very own toy shoppe made of cardboard!
Drawing on the top of the trampoline is almost
as fun as jumping on it, and making fun structures
out out playdough was oh so fun!
Lots of creativity going on here:)
A day at the Aquatic Center was a blast!!
It was our first visit there and the kids loved it!
The water slide was excellent, yes I did try it
with Dylan and Bella...and Audrey loves the
lazy river!  That's where I spent most of my time
trying to escape the water monsters:)
Stopping off at Albertos for dinner was
the perfect ending to a perfect day!
And what started out to be a fun horseback
riding activity, quickly turned into a horse
back riding nightmare!  It all looks so
peaceful in this picture but what you can't
see is the horse getting spooked and
throwing Melissa and Audrey off, while
spooking the little horse in the cart,
tipping the cart over and me, Dylan, and
Bella falling out onto the ground.  Yep!
We all his the ground simultaneously.
Weird! It was fun while it last but I don't
think I wanna be doing that anytime soon.
We have a few bumps and bruises but we'll be fine:)
We took a drive to Grandma and Grandpa Stubbs'
house and fed the ducks and geese in the pond and
took a little walk over the bridge by Meeks Cabin...
And Grandmas Stubbs fixed us a very fun Tea party.
It was excellent!  A big thumbs up!
Next we went to Visit Grandma Rasmussen.
We fed the little donkey and the big horse in
the backyard, played with all the fun old toys
in the basement, and ate pizza from the
Parowan Pizza Barn. Yummy!!! Such a fun day!
We drove North to meet everyone at Aunt
Chels House. The New Yorkers flew in to
join us for a week of family fun. after a
yummy lunch at In n' Out Burger, We hit the
beach at Cowabunga Bay for a family fun time.
Its always a fun place to be with family!
Love my cute little surfers doing cute little
dances to the the music of the beach boys.
What a fun day in the sun with my family.
Dinner at Cafe Rio and a drive to Park City
for the next few days.  We're All tuckered out:)

reacquainting themselves with each other.

Listening to them giggle and have so much
fun together. Its great to hear the laughter
and have us all together again!  I feel so
blessed, I love my family!
It was so fun to spend time poolside,
splashing in the water and putting
our faces in the sun!

from up here in the summer!
Riding down the Alpine slide was so much fun!!

What a fun summer evening get together
with family and extended family. I love
summer Potluck Parties! Such a great time
to visit and to catch up on whats going on
in our lives, a fun time to play and enjoy a
 Midsummer's Eve with loved ones.
We played and rolled in the old barrel.
Tryed to see if we could still walk on stilts:)
Some are still pretty dang good at it!
 Played underneath Aunt Carolyn's Parachute:)
The Kids loved it, both old and young:)

and Italian sodas. Yummy goodness and certainly a
Ras family favorite for sure!
They're my little jumping beans both on
the trampoline and in the pool!  These are
2 of our summer favorites.I loved an evening
swim and the sprinklers under the trampoline was
such a fun way to cool off with these cuties!
Oh...and have we told you about the Tiki Shack?!
Well just let me tell you that this is our new summer
craving and hang out spot. Their Hawaiian Ice is
out of this world! My personal favorite is
pina colada with vanilla ice cream in the bottom and
canned milk poured over the top.  There are so many
yummy flavors to choose from.

Hock dolls (Flower Fairies), Playing dress ups, and hugs!
Yay for Discovery park Cedar City!  Many hours
of fun have been spent in this place with cousins.
I love a rainy summer day in the City Of Enoch...
especially when I get to have such sweet
company to share my umbrella with!
These 3 brave kids learned how to ride a bike
while they were visiting! It was so fun to watch
them take off on their own!!! Like watching
little Birdies fly from the nest...There they go!
I loved driving out to Kane Springs!  I haven't been
there in years and it was so fun to go spend a couple
of days gathering flagstone for my new pathway.
We picnicked and sang old family songs along the
way. To make a long story short, I just simply got
"Poked!" and I have a few battle scars to show
for it but We sure had a great time!
These beautiful girls were hard workers!
My new path looks beautiful! Love my daughters.
We took a couple of walks over to Grandma

We loaded up the truck and grandpa drove us
out to Three Peaks to climb the Bubble Rocks...
to swing, and catch blue bellied lizards and to
sit comfortably and privately in the Aidan Cave!
We attempted to hike to one Hidden Haven,
of our favorite places to hike... but got as
far as the Dairy Freeze in Parowan before
it started to rain.  And boy did it ever rain!
Parowan main Street was literally flooding,
so we watched it rain while eating yummy
 burgers, french fries and
 chocolate marshmallow malts.
Then when the rain subsided we paid
a visit to see grandma Ras and Aunt D...
And played with our favorite old toys,
fed the donkey, ate yummy green apples,
did a little swinging, and splashed around
together in the mud puddles in the back
