Empty Nest...Again
Our youngest child is about to fly the coop. We are really going to be empty nesters now. All of our children have grown and moved away. We always thought, and hoped beyond hope that at least some of them would stick around here with their little families, but it's looking like that will not be the case with us. Chey just got a job with Sky West and will be heading to the North Country (Salt Lake) as soon as he graduates here at SUU. He's pretty stoked!
His first flight to Salt lake for orientation was pretty fun and exciting for him...It seemed somewhat strange to watch him fly over the house headed northward. I watched til the planes lights disappeared behind the North mountain. It always gives me butterflies and sinking feelings when I have to send my children on a plane away from this place. I don't think I will ever get used to it.
He landed safely at the airport and came down the same escalator that he came down after returning from his mission to Ukraine. Oh the memories this picture brings back! Life just seems so unfair sometimes...we wish our babies could stay babies forever! But we are so happy for our children and the exciting opportunities that they are blessed with in their lives. They all do us proud!
We wish you luck in your new adventure Chey!
