LIFE DOESN'T GET ANY SWEETER THAN THIS!

My name is Brenda Joy Rasmussen. I am the oldest of 5 children. I grew up in the small town of Parowan Utah. I have been born into a wonderful family of 3 sisters and one brother. We have been raised by good parents who have given us a life time of love. They have instilled in us a great love for the plain and simple, and most precious things in life, God and family. I now live in the small town of Enoch, Utah, not to far from where I grew up, with my husband Robert. Here in Enoch we have raised 5 beautiful children. We are the grandparents of 13 sweet grandchildren!

When The Parents are Away, The Grandparents will Play!

What a wonderful welcome to Spring!  We look forward every March to this weekly outing:) While the parents were away on vacation to Disney World, we were makin' our own kind of magic!
Aunt Jamilla was our personal chauffeur and picked us up from the airport... Then it was party time! She showed us how to make our very own sugar Easter Eggs...and Boy oh boy, were they finger licking good!
Later that day I took a walk with these little ones to one of our favorite places... The Church!
They love to come here to play:)  They were the prince and princesses in their very own castle. It turns out I was the wicked mother/step Mother that tried to catch them and put them in the tower!
Raegan and I enjoyed an old fashioned footpath out on the pergola on a beautiful spring morning in the sunshine...
and Wyatt? Well, he decided to just jump right in and take an old fashioned bath! Brrrr, I think it was a little cold...
so we went inside for a very warm bubble bath!
Raegan wrote love notes for her mom and dad out in the garage:) (oopsie)
We spent a lot of fun time at the park Picnicking and flying kites...
slipping and sliding...
and playing some fun games of Star Wars on the playground.  Grandpa Bob sure does make a pretty good Darth Vader, and Wyatt sure is an awesome Luke Skywalker!
Raegan n' me, we took a little hike together up in the foothills of Herriman.  Wyatt didn't join us due to his fear of bears! You know...  I don't think we saw one bear:)
In the meantime These siblings were having a small world experience of their own at Disney World! Staten Island meats Herriman in Orlando Florida, and they enjoyed a fun evening together!
What would have been even more fun is if
they could have met on the
"It's a Small World" ride:)
So glad that they found each
other in such a fun place!
Grandpa Bob and I had a fun evening of
game time fun with these two! I wonder
who it was that told the most lies:)
Let them eat cake!!! Huge cupcakes are the best things ever and so are cute sugary faces and the colors bright pink, Bright green and bright blue. YUMMY!
We sure did have a fun day at the Hogle Zoo with this fun bunch! Thanks Aunt Jamilla for taking us:)
While we were there, look who we ran into! My neice Charise and her cute lil' kidlets:) What a happy cousin moment!
Sitting on a Rhino and an elephants trunk was so much fun, but going ape and monkeying around with Grandpa Bob was awesome!
We love the zoo!
We had such a fun day playing with cousins! Nothing like dress ups and a little side walk Chalkin' in the hood!
Happy st. Patty's Day!  Theres a leprechaun in my car!
Today Aunt Jamilla helped us all finish up our Sugar Eggs!
So many pretty springtime colors...
they all turned out so lovely!
I even tried my hand at making one:) Thanks Aunt Jamilla! We had so much fun!
It was fun to spend the day with these fun peeps! We tried out the Texas Barbecue for our very first time!
It was delicious!
Then we had our very own Teddy Bear Pajama Parade around the block...
Twirled and few kites in the air...
and then fell asleep watching a fun movie!  Yay for cousin sleepovers!
And Hooray for french toast for breakfast with cousins!
We've had so much fun with this cute lil' bunch! Oh what a week it's been:)
Yay!  Mommy and Daddy are home!  We've been missing them (but not too much;)) I love happy reunions! The joy on these faces when they saw their parents pull in was a joy to behold.
Happy St. Patty's Day!!  We celebrated with green Shamrock pancakes...
 and Green milk!
Green milk mustaches are all the rage today!
Thank you to our son Damon and his little family who rescued us at the airport after our flight was completely booked and we couldn't make our flight home... we were invited to Sunday dinner with the Harash Family! Yummy food, fun company!  We had a great time and spend one more night playing with the Salt Lakers.
On our way home...thinking of all the cute little faces we've kissed and the wonderful things we've done together.  Yep! When the parents are away, the grandparents will play! We sure have made some fun memories this week!
