LIFE DOESN'T GET ANY SWEETER THAN THIS!

My name is Brenda Joy Rasmussen. I am the oldest of 5 children. I grew up in the small town of Parowan Utah. I have been born into a wonderful family of 3 sisters and one brother. We have been raised by good parents who have given us a life time of love. They have instilled in us a great love for the plain and simple, and most precious things in life, God and family. I now live in the small town of Enoch, Utah, not to far from where I grew up, with my husband Robert. Here in Enoch we have raised 5 beautiful children. We are the grandparents of 13 sweet grandchildren!

Running of the Sheep!

This is my absolutley favorite parade of the year!  The running of the sheep at the end of October.
Im sure most people don't see this very often, but it's something that happens here every year!
The farmers bring their sheep down off the mountain after a summer season of grazing
And they run them right down the middle of Cedar City Main Street on their way out into the farms in Cedar Valley for winter grazing and Springtime Lambing season.
It really is quite a sight, and to me has aways be interesting and exciting!  I grew up with this tradition!  I bottle fed and raised a sheep of my own when I was a little girl. And know many of the sheep farmers here in the valley.  It's not uncommon at all to be driving down a road this time of year and get slowed down or stuck right in the middle of a flock of sheep headed down the road.  It's a part of the life I love living in rural small town USA! The Heritage Festival is so much fun!
