LIFE DOESN'T GET ANY SWEETER THAN THIS!

My name is Brenda Joy Rasmussen. I am the oldest of 5 children. I grew up in the small town of Parowan Utah. I have been born into a wonderful family of 3 sisters and one brother. We have been raised by good parents who have given us a life time of love. They have instilled in us a great love for the plain and simple, and most precious things in life, God and family. I now live in the small town of Enoch, Utah, not to far from where I grew up, with my husband Robert. Here in Enoch we have raised 5 beautiful children. We are the grandparents of 13 sweet grandchildren!

Run Ian Run!

This man can run!  And he got his run on March 22nd at the Washington DC Washington Rock & Roll USA Marathon!  He did awesome!!!!  We had a great time tracking his run and cheering him on from here.
Here are his Stats!!! Fantastic I'd say!! would love to be able to keep up that pace for 26 miles!
His words, "Thanks everyone!  That is one grueling experience! Those last 5 miles were so hard I just had to say 'one foot at a time'  then after the race I had to get back to the hotel which required a subway ride and a mile walk.  I was wondering if I could make it:) I'm safe at the hotel now. I made it home. A little sore but doing ok (The ice cold bath must really help) Time 3:46.  I guess I placed 550 overall:) good experience.  A good reminder what true physical exhaustion is and makes me feel so blessed to be healthy enough to do it. I tell ya those last 2 miles were so hard I Got emotional a little when I saw the end. I was completely empty.  I was having a hard time breathing and my legs were burning.  I just kept saying 'focus on breathing. focus on stepping,' You can see what happened to my pace at the end.  Ive been toying with the idea about running the NYC in the Fall and raising money for Parkinson's. When I finished the race I thought to myself that maybe thats how dad feels. Can't move as fast as he wants.  Can't control the muscles like he wants to. Ive been thinking about it today."
WAY TO GO IAN!  WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!
