proud owner of not just one, but two....Yep! 2 SANTANA'S!
The lady that sold me the original Santana found this one
in the back of her closet and took it over to my Mom's!
AHHHHHH THE JOY of being able to have a back up!
Without a Santana what would a Domestic Goddess do?!!!!
of the SOFT SANTANA! (LaVoy Caftan)
For those of you who may not fully understand the significance of this post, please let me explain: This colorful cloak is the love of my life, and It all began way back in 1975 the year I got married. My mom and I went to a popular LaVoy lingere party. These parties were alot simlilar to the Mod Bod (etc) Parties of today only the company sold modest lingere. Back then, this robe was the Hot item I must say and it certainly was "to die for!" I just had to have it! I litterally fell in love with it then, and the relationship has lasted now for 34 years! My mom bought this wonderful work of art for my Bridal shower and need I say more...
I have been wearing it ever since! There's not a day goes by that I have not worn it. Honestly it's my security blanket. When I wear it I just get such warm and fuzzy feelings...even the feeling that I need to rub it's colorful silky fabric between my fingers and suck my thumb! OH THE JOY of a Santana morning...evening, and anytime in between!! Yes...It is my motherly cloak. I have worn it through thick and thin, good times and bad, wrapped and nursed all my babies in it and even kept my dog snuggly warm. My grandkids love it! They love to play in it, crawl under it and wrap themselves up in it. Don't tell their parents but I think my grands would tell you that there's nothing quite as good as being all wrapped up in a warm Santana Hug!
Yes, my kids tease me about it all the time, they are the ones who gave it it's famous name 'SANTANA',
what I haven't told them though is that I wear it for them... somehow when I put it on it becomes magical in ways that are hard to describe. Memories of each child and the time I spent with them comes flooding back. I guess I wear it to remember them, and to remember all the joys we've we have had together throughout the years. Through it all, Santana has been there! And what kind of a life would a "Domestic Goodess" have without a Santana or 2!!! I think I'm going to go dive into it right now!
Are you jealous!

I know him but have never been in his district. Well, theres still hope we have a few more transfers before we go home. thanks for stopping by our blog. I love hearing from parents of missionaries we serve with.
