LIFE DOESN'T GET ANY SWEETER THAN THIS!

My name is Brenda Joy Rasmussen. I am the oldest of 5 children. I grew up in the small town of Parowan Utah. I have been born into a wonderful family of 3 sisters and one brother. We have been raised by good parents who have given us a life time of love. They have instilled in us a great love for the plain and simple, and most precious things in life, God and family. I now live in the small town of Enoch, Utah, not to far from where I grew up, with my husband Robert. Here in Enoch we have raised 5 beautiful children. We are the grandparents of 13 sweet grandchildren!

Re-TIRED!

Retired but definitely NOT tired! Life is just beginning for us! Bob said goodbye to to some of the most wonderful people that have been a huge part of his life for the past 32 years. He began his career with the Five County Association of Governments in December 1979, when he was employed to manage the finances of the Aging program.  Over the years he took on a myriad of responsibilities ranging from  Aging to Nutrition to HEAT and Weatherization.  he also served as the area agency as Aging Director, and has spent the past six years preforming Chief Financial Officer duties.  This wide array of responsibilities gave him a unique perspective of how the Association of Governments benefits so many residents of southwestern Utah.  Bob has also served as a local elected official, currently in his second term as Mayor of Enoch City.  Those who have worked with him say that they will miss his extensive institutional memory and gentle, but steady leadership in making sure that a complicated financial system consistently demonstrated sound stewardship.
Bob retired on the afternoon of Thursday, March 29th and his friends and coworkers gathered for a wonderful celebration of his many years of service.
We love these great people and express our gratitude for them...they have blessed our lives!
They threw him a grand party!
And after all the traveling back and forth to St George...We all finally got to meet "TOYOTA MAN!"
Most days on their travels to work, Tracy, Bob and Scott would pass a man driving a little red Toyota truck on the freeway...he soon became known to them as Toyota Man. Bob talked about him all the time, yet they had no idea who he was...Thanks to Tracy..she tracked him down and he showed up at Bobs Retirement Party. It was great to finally get to meet him in person!  He has become quite a celebrity at work and here at home:)
It's been such an amazing day of celebration! 5 County AOG has been so good to us through the years. A lot of marvelous things have happened to us along the way, (click here then click slide show in the upper left side) and we've met some of the greatest people on the face of the earth! From the bottom of our hearts, thanks to all of you for helping to make our life such a wonderful life! We will surely miss our day to day associations with all of you:)
So long, farewell, adieu!  Here's to the future and the great life that lies ahead. For he's a Jolly Good Fellow...I should know, I am married to him!
