LIFE DOESN'T GET ANY SWEETER THAN THIS!

My name is Brenda Joy Rasmussen. I am the oldest of 5 children. I grew up in the small town of Parowan Utah. I have been born into a wonderful family of 3 sisters and one brother. We have been raised by good parents who have given us a life time of love. They have instilled in us a great love for the plain and simple, and most precious things in life, God and family. I now live in the small town of Enoch, Utah, not to far from where I grew up, with my husband Robert. Here in Enoch we have raised 5 beautiful children. We are the grandparents of 13 sweet grandchildren!

It's the Iron County Fair!

There's nothing more fun than a good
old fashioned County Fair. I love the
Iron County Fair!  It a fun family time
that kicks of my favorite season of the year.
I love Fall, I love the harvest season.
These guys took home some amazing prizes
for their garden produce.  What a great way to
 begin the Fair! Congrats fellows:)
Look who came to spend the fun
weekend with us!!!  Yay!  Let's play:)
Get out the Big Silver Bowl and pop some of
that buttery, white fluffy stuff... lets celebrate!
Beautiful Flower fairies made special for one and all!
A visit to Grandma Rasmussen's house to celebrate
Caitlin Rose!  She's getting married soon and  so we
showered her with presents! Then we took some time
to swing and play and feed the horse.
An old fashioned Fair would be nearly as
fun without the carnival.  We had so much fun!
We always love getting together with the
Rasmussen family on Sunday evening for
a potluck picnic in Jim and Jillynns backyard.
 I love family potluck Sundays...
with all of these fun people! Were adding a few
new ones to the family this year. It seems to be
the year for marriage:) Jason and Katy
& Caitlin and Bryce.
And of course there's the labor Day Parade!
A great time to visit with friends neighbors and family...
and mingle with cousins, aunts and uncles and sit
curbside to see how much candy you can catch:)
We love a good Clique concert underneath the
entertainment tent at the Fair building watching
my Uncle Alan and his band play. My favorite...
Inna Godda Da Vita for sure! Then we head back
to my mom and dads house for a delicious potluck,
sloppy Joe/vegetable from the garden lunch.
I love eating outside underneath the crab apple tree
and visiting with family and friends.  I love the smell
of dill from the garden wafting through the air and
I love watching the little ones play.
This year these little ones completely demolished
grandma Stubbs gingerbread house. And enjoyed
every lick!  I have never seen such happiness and joy!
I love being in the presence of little children.  They
make holidays so special, and remind us of the pure
and simple, most precious joys of life.
It's been such a joyous weekend!
FAREWELL TO SUMMER-SAY HELLO TO FALL!
