Georgia Peach Time:)
Oh lovely June, summer is upon us...Let the fun begin! I Love spending time with our grandkids whenever we get the chance:) This week, It's Georgia Peach Time! I always love flying out over Utah. I love the mountains and the colors. I really do live in a very beautiful place!
Did you know there is one of these in the Salt Lake Airport! It makes flying standby bearable:)
Relaxing at Salt Lake International Airport. Waiting for a flight out to Atlanta can be a little bit tricky!
We were pretty lucky today...It took us only 3 rollovers on standby and we were on our way! I think our georgia grands must have prayed us into Atlanta!
It's really great to be here to see these cute smiley faces! Bella made this very special book for me. A couple of months ago she called me for a cute little interview as a school homework assignment and this is the sweet result. Such a darling book all about me!
The first order of business after their parents left for their vacation in Tennessee was a visit to Super Target! They love this place especially when they have "Granny Bucks" to spend! I think they made some fun choices, don't you?!
These girls made the cutest sidewalk chalk bedrooms for their new little pets!
We had a yummy dinner out at McDonalds...their favorite!
The first night we were there, we received a tornado warning and had to hunker down and take shelter. It was a little unnerving, but as you can see they are all still smiles:) the first time Ive ever had this happen in my life! Ive never seen it hail and rain so hard!
This is the calm after the storm:)
After a wild and warm georgia storm you find turtles...
And snails...
And fairies!
You make flower fairies...
With your sister in the fairy garden!
And sometimes you are crowned Queen of the Flower Fairies!
I got the best cooking lesson from this cute girl! She taught me how to make Ramen Noodles "The Right Way!" Yes theres a huge difference:) "Don't use too much water. You get the water boiling first, then you break the dry noodles in half, put them in the water...don't stir them, just break them apart gently with a fork. Don't overcook them or let them get soggy. Add the flavor packet the very last minute before you serve them." Yep, Hers were much more delicious than mine!
One of our favorite things to do is "Tricks" Yep, grandma's up to her tricks again! These two love their tricks with grandma:) "Look at me way up high, like a bird in the sky, I'm flying!" I get a pretty good leg workout for sure!
And oh my, This poor little squirrel squished in the road one morning was a big concern to Audrey Bean. She looks at me and says, "Nature isn't supposed to be ran over, is supposed to be alive!" RIP Poor little squirrel:(
These cute kids put their heads together and made the sweetest homemade gifts for their grandpa for Fathers Day! They were so cute and thoughtful:)
Then they showered him with hugs and kisses! Happy Father's Day Grandpa Bob!
Ohhhh! And I sure do love me a good Pizza party!
We even enjoyed some plant weaving! Nature offers the best activities and funnest gifts!
So fun too, being poolside and cooling off on a hot muggy day!
And watching these kids make some pretty notorious jumps and splashes into the pool! What a great laugh!
This Luna Moth was even enjoying some time by the pool. It was beautiful! I've never seen one of these before:)
This cute girl says while eating her popsicle, "My favorite kind of fruit, when I want fruit"
We spent an afternoon hanging out with the missionaries while they fixed their bike! Elders Johnson and Robinson. They were awesome!
This cute girl likes to smile and make paper dolls,
and smile and dress like a La La Loopsie too! I Love her smile:)
These pretty girls took me on a walk to find wild strawberries and raspberries!
This fun bunch had a great time making their very own sand art bottles...
While these two loved putting together puzzles...
and playing trucks!
We made "Popcorn Juice" (orange julius)
and delicious homemade Reeses Peanut Butter Cups...
Yummy Pancakes for breakfast...
and soda and vinegar Volcanos!
We had fun going on a Sunday walk and catching grasshoppers with grandpa Bob...
Bella's Pet Hopper gets loose, Audrey catches it for her and says, "Sisters don't let their pets just run all over the town...Bella hold onto your pet, you can hug me for catching him when we get home" Lesson learned!
Yummy night out together at Smash Burger...
led to a fun night at home watching movies... With tickle backs on the side:)
GOT MILK?!
They made their parents a "Welcome Home" sign:) It turned out so cute. Each one added their unique art style to it!
Unique indeed! This one loves to draw with her toes:)
After a nice anniversary vacation, The parents are back! YAY! We met them for dinner at JR's Restaurant. It was so fun to watch these kids run into the arms of their parents! I love a sweet joyful reunion! SO much to share:)
They brought us home some awesome treasures from Grand Ol' Opryland! A pretty pink Tshirt, the cutest apron ever, yummy biscuit mix and southern sorghum to spread on the biscuits...YUM! We've had a wonderful stay here in georgia with our cute Georgia Peaches! We've made some fun memories this trip. Going home is never easy...It's always hard to leave loved ones behind, But we've enjoyed the precious moments spent here this week:) We've had the sweetest Georgia Peach time!
So Now it's back to reality I suppose. When we arrive back in Utah this will all seem like a sweet dream. It always does! Getting home was a little tricky but by the end of the day after 6 rollovers we were on our way.
We Met this cutest girl flying standby too! She is from Chile. Flying standby has it's rough tiring moments but also it's beautiful benefits... You get to meet some of the most wonderful people along the way:)
Finally on the plane flying out of Atlanta....
Rescued by Damon and Jamilla at the Salt Lake Airport. They are always so good to come rescue us and put us up for the night. It was so fun to stay up into the wee hours with them drinking orange cream soda, and chatting in the ever popular Rasmussen elbows up position!
These two were sound asleep, so I gave them blue hearts on their cute little cheekies! I love you my sweets...Grandma Dolly was here:)
